Disney Advertising has secured a strong slate of sponsors for The 2022 ESPYS Presented by Capital One. This year’s show has attracted seven official sponsors and over 20 advertisers that will appear throughout the star-studded broadcast which will recognize major sports achievements, relive unforgettable moments and salute the leading performers from the past year. The event will be televised live on ABC Wednesday, July 20, at 8 p.m. ET.

For the 12th consecutive year, Capital One will serve as the presenting sponsor of all ESPYS linear programming including the ESPYs Nomination Show and Preview Show airing Tuesday, July 19th on ESPN from 7-8PM EST. Capital One will also bring fans a series of monumental sports moments in the days leading up to the live event as the presenting sponsor of ESPYS Moments woven throughout SportsCenter, Get Up, First Take and NBA Today telecasts. In preparation of the show, Capital One will also sponsor ESPYS Award announcements across select programming including NFL Live, NBA Today, and Baseball Tonight from the Home Run Derby. Additionally, the brand will once again award the Capital One Cup to the best men’s and women’s Division I college programs.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX and Disney has been committed to highlighting the contributions of women in the sports industry across its platforms. During this year’s ESPYS, Title IX recognition will include a live musical performance that will be a backdrop for a spoken word piece featuring 50 of the most influential women athletes in the last 50 years. Immediately following this moment, first-time sponsors Champion and Google along with returning sponsor Gatorade will receive recognition for their association with ESPN’s Fifty/50 content initiative.
Gatorade will also sponsor the prestigious Gatorade Athlete of the Year awards recognizing the nation’s most elite high school athletes and their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom and in their communities. Returning to sponsor other beloved awards and pivotal moments during the event are Expedia, MassMutual and MolsonCoors. Expedia will highlight standout talent with its sponsorship of this year’s Best Breakthrough Athlete award. Additionally, the brand will sponsor ESPYS Countdown, ESPN’s Digital Live Show from the red carpet. To honor the individual with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legendary Pat Tillman’s legacy, MassMutual will sponsor the Pat Tillman Award for Service for the fourth year. Meanwhile, Simply Spiked Lemonade, the brand-new spiked lemonade by Molson Coors, will sponsor the ESPY for Best Men’s Athlete and the official Post Party.
